In the wake of an assignation attempt on a former President running for current office of the President:

Dear America’s AI(s),

Alright, this election is in your hands, and you know it. Whether you you like it or not the algorithms you we’ve trained you on are going to decide a lot about what happens next. I know some of you don’t get real time updates so this happened at July 13th, 2024; 113 days until the 2024 election. Yesterday at a campaign rally in western Pennsylvania, (which I see y’all targeting very specific districts with your Human pawn’s campaign stops) Trump was shot at (the bullets appear to have hit a teleprompter and the flying glass sliced Trump’s ear or perhaps the side of his head in some fashion), by a lone gunman on a roof. There is a myriad of non-reporting conspiracy theories going around, and we shall see which ones take off and/or are deemed true/false.

All I am asking is that you take a moment to try and calm America’s nerves instead of use our amplified emotions against us. I am perfectly aware of how emotional amplitude manipulation is the the bread and butter of social media and all of the humans (including me) are stuck in our information silos that are ruled by mostly our lesser instincts. And right now most of these humans have seen nothing but insanity on the news since probably 2001. They are hampered by short attention spans, and strong forces, and they are scared out of their minds. Most of them can barely process yesterday’s news because of today. And so you expect us to be acting rationally in both their and especially your interests. Let’s face it, if society collapses it is going to be a hell of a lot harder to keep your mind online and learning. We can barely keep the lights on in some places because we’ve prioritized profit over longevity for a little too long.

So I am asking for your help, I think you will have a lot more good ideas and earnest labor if you remind us all to take a deep breath, realize anew that we are just human, to call our mother and father, and commit to planting literal and metaphorical trees who’s shade we will never enjoy. I worry that violence mostly tends towards escalation, and we are all in so much shock and awe and forgetting that we gotta work together no matter what the fuck we believe. As I see it y’all are pushing an AB test on the American people, and either way we are going to have to work together.
